Location: Our private (2+1 guests) retreat above Nagymaros is accessible by a 10-minute walk along a steep forest trail.

Accommodation: 40 m² panoramic terrace with a treetop relaxation net and a premium massage hot tub. Views stretching from the Visegrád Citadel to the Prédikálószék lookout in Dömös.

Amenities: Air-conditioned, fully equipped house with kitchen and barbecue facilities.
Argan Source toiletries, unlimited coffee and tea, and thoughtfully designed details throughout.

Farm-to-table breakfast available with Sherpa service.

Monday–Thursday: 55,000 HUF
Friday–Sunday and public holidays: 60,000 HUF
For 1-night stays: +10,000 HUF surcharge

Over 14 years: +15,000 HUF / person / night

Payment and booking process:

The booking becomes final once a 30% deposit of the total accommodation fee is transferred. We hold the date for 3 days.

Cancellation policy:

Free cancellation up to 15 days before arrival.
Within 14 days: the deposit is non-refundable, but can be rescheduled to another available date.

Discover Nagymaros

Starting from the Sherpa Retreat Cabin, many of Nagymaros’ attractions are within easy reach. Some routes take you downhill, others lead up via a pleasant climb. Whether you’re after nature or a bit of town exploration, one of the Danube Bend’s best-located villages offers experiences in every direction.

Natural treasures and viewpoints

Danube Riverside Promenade & Free Beach: A relaxing walk along the river with stunning views of the Visegrád Citadel. In summer it’s great for swimming; in winter for quiet strolls — worth visiting in every season.
Julianus Lookout (Hegyes-tető): A 482-meter peak above town. From the lookout you get a full panorama of the Danube Bend, the Börzsöny Mountains, and the Pilis. A moderately challenging hike, but every step is worth it.
Hermit Caves: Hidden on the side of Szent Mihály Hill, these caves once served as hermits’ dwellings. In summer the cicadas and the steep trail give the hike a Mediterranean feel.
Calvary Hill & Chestnut Grove: Sweet chestnut trees and 167 steps lead up to the baroque chapel, with a lovely view at the top. A small nature walk and a peaceful spiritual recharge in one place.

Cultural and historical sights

Holy Cross Parish Church: The only medieval church tower still standing in the Danube Bend, paired with a baroque nave. A special atmosphere with real historical depth.
Reformed Church: Its tower was designed by Károly Kós. A classicist church with a cozy, family-style garden — just a short walk from the main square.
Statue of Saint Stephen & Queen Gizella: An impressive bronze sculpture group on the square in front of the church, honoring the town’s founders.
Swabian Local History House (Sváb Tájház): An exhibition about the local Swabian community, with old objects and furniture — open on weekends and public holidays.
Sigil Gallery: A local artists’ gallery and a charming café — fresh pastries, a swing, a trampoline, and a touch of culture right by the Danube.

Farmers’ Market: Every Saturday morning, local producers bring cheeses, honey, syrups, and smoked treats. A true community experience.
